There's not an "E" number in sight and each label carries a comprehensive list of ingredients including their botanical (Latin) name.. From time to time we have to use a synthetically-produced ingredient (it will be listed on the label) but the majority of our products contain only natural ingredients.

On infrequent occasions we have to use a synthetically produced ingredient when the natural ingredient would be derived from animals; or which cannot be naturally produced; or when the natural raw material is very expensive and the cost cannot be justified by the extent of its use.

But, in any of these instances, we continue to search for acceptable alternatives that meet our philosophy of using only natural products. And where we have to use a synthetic ingredient, we say so on the label.

Our products have been independently safety tested and we only source ingredients from reputable suppliers who, like us, have policies about ethical and sustainable production.

We are opposed to animal testing on any beauty or skincare product. As an ethical producer we are against creating any beauty or skincare products that are tested on animals. In most instances, we are able to select raw materials that are not made from animal sources and we do not use raw materials that are tested on animals.

But on the rare occasions when we are not able to source raw materials that have not been tested on animals we use raw materials that are at least guaranteed not tested on animals after 1996, thereby operating a fixed cut-off date system.
